Alanya and bikes
You can best enjoy Alanya by bike during the mild spring and autumn months. The temperatures are pleasant and ideal for outdoor activities. With its Mediterranean climate, Alanya sees warm summers, but the coastal breezes help keep it manageable for cyclists, particularly in the early mornings or late afternoons. The terrain offers a variety of routes, ranging from flat coastal paths to more challenging mountain trails.
The Alanya municipality has invested into building bicycle roads along the coast and other parts of the city. You can drive a bike safely and comfortably along the beach up to the Alanya harbour or the Cleopatra beach. There is a biking road from the Alanya centre to the east that is approximately 13km long. Another section of the ‘Uninterrupted bike path’ project has been constructed between Türkler, Payallar and Konaklı districts that is 4km long. Use your own bike or rent a bike for reasonable prices in any of the bicycle rental places around the city. Mountain bike enthusiasts can enjoy the downhill track in Alanya Castle.
